The Bulking Season

We had interviews with President Bothchway last Thursday and a training from Sister Botchway. Both were fire and helpful. We have been having lots of really good lessons lately and English Class is getting a lil better. Had an apartment inspection from some members and they were funny but we cleaned a lot to get ready for it.

Saturday was insane, we had lessons set up every hour plus a member meal and moderating, and we were fed like 5 full meals that day. It started off well with a fire lesson, then they fed us a lot of Venezuelan food and we were so full that we could barely finish the food. Then had some lessons fall through and a few happen, and then our lesson right before the member meal gave us these thick mango smoothies and then when we got to dinner we were already stuffed. But had some lasagna type food and salad and barely finished without throwing up. Then had some other lessons/moderated and then went to an inactive members house and they fed us some more food and so we ate it and then talked with them for a bit. So much food but it was good food and like 4 or 5 of our 7 lessons happened which was cool.

Sunday was a good day, we got 11 friends to church and met most of our weekly goals somehow (God) and had good dinner and lessons, but my spanish is no longer doing very well. I can barely keep up in lessons and it has been a lil tough but thankfully my comp is a latino so he is carrying. Monday was pretty interesting, had District Council which went ok I hope, but then ate at a Burrito place for lunch that was very filling. Had another member meal and once again we were still quite full but had pozole and ate as much as possible without throwing up. 

Then some good ol contacting and lessons and figuring things out for our baptism this Saturday, so all fun things to do if you have energy. Gonna do some field games later today and the rest I have no idea. But God is with us always and when we make Him the center of our lives, we can feel Him closer to us and feel His love for us.

Hola Had a doc appt that we were a lil late to but it was still fine, then spent almost 2 hours in traffic and then had a mission wide zoom call that was good. Then the next day spent 4+ hours at a Firestone to get the tires on our car fixed, but did leave and get lunch at a Hawaiian restaurant that was really good. And some random peeps there paid for us which was cool. Also had dinner with the Constans which was fun later that day (Wednesday)         On Monday, April 1st, an elder thought it would be funny to shove flowers in my face to smell them at chick fil a, and then I kept sneezing all day and for the rest of the week. But each day something added on. First day after that my nose was runny, second my throat, then on Thursday I developed a fever at the end of the day. 4th Of Julio

Hola a todos.  This was a long week cuz of the 4th of July they moved our pday to today so we went 1.5 weeks inbetween pdays but it has finally arrived.  We were told about this guy who was stranded on the side of the road right at the edge of our area and hadn't eaten for 2 days. We didn't know what to really do, so eventually ended up talking with him and brought him some KFC and then went back each day while he waited for a part to fix his car and brought food so he wouldnt be hungry. It was pretty cool getting to know him and to be able to help too. Went to a cultural activity for the community in Canby where we live and got some free lunch (carne asada) and it was good and talked to lots of Hispanics too. Not too many of the Branch members were at church this week cuz they were sick and/or busy but yeah.  Nothing crazy has happened really, its been quite the same as always except for Tuesday was good, had some lessons and they went super good. Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

  More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC.
