Tienda Hunting

Hola todos!

Its been a pretty good week, we went looking for mexican tiendas to find and leave our English Class flyers since its a little harder to find Hispanics in this area. But we have been able to work with what we have and see some success!

We had District Council and Zone Council last week and both were kinda ok, its weird not being in leadership and seeing how others lead. Super hard too sometimes, but yeah we have been doing lots of member work lately and its been great. 

We had lots of friends come to church, we have the branch at 12:45pm and its far from a lot of our friends, at least 30 ish minutes so we go to an english ward close to most of them and translate and I had to translate yesterday and it was ok. Not that great at it so sometimes I would just say random stuff instead of the random stories but it went well. 

We ate with this family in the English Ward and they reminder me of my own family a little, 4 kids and 1 crazy one (Brayden) jk but it was crazy looking back and seeing how fast time has flown by. I'm about to finish whats called my Sister mission, and its crazy to thing I have like 6 months left. 

But I have definetly seen huge changes in my life and been able to grow lots of skills and talents and all that as well as my testimony. Which I shared yesterday 2 times in 2 different wards. I know without a doubt that Christ has the power to change and as we sacrifice a tiny bit of our time and energy,  the blessings are endless!

Im So Dead, But God Is Good

Hola Had a doc appt that we were a lil late to but it was still fine, then spent almost 2 hours in traffic and then had a mission wide zoom call that was good. Then the next day spent 4+ hours at a Firestone to get the tires on our car fixed, but did leave and get lunch at a Hawaiian restaurant that was really good. And some random peeps there paid for us which was cool. Also had dinner with the Constans which was fun later that day (Wednesday)         On Monday, April 1st, an elder thought it would be funny to shove flowers in my face to smell them at chick fil a, and then I kept sneezing all day and for the rest of the week. But each day something added on. First day after that my nose was runny, second my throat, then on Thursday I developed a fever at the end of the day. 4th Of Julio

Hola a todos.  This was a long week cuz of the 4th of July they moved our pday to today so we went 1.5 weeks inbetween pdays but it has finally arrived.  We were told about this guy who was stranded on the side of the road right at the edge of our area and hadn't eaten for 2 days. We didn't know what to really do, so eventually ended up talking with him and brought him some KFC and then went back each day while he waited for a part to fix his car and brought food so he wouldnt be hungry. It was pretty cool getting to know him and to be able to help too. Went to a cultural activity for the community in Canby where we live and got some free lunch (carne asada) and it was good and talked to lots of Hispanics too. Not too many of the Branch members were at church this week cuz they were sick and/or busy but yeah.  Nothing crazy has happened really, its been quite the same as always except for Tuesday was good, had some lessons and they went super good. Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

  More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC.
