2nd Transfer In The Mish

Image
Hola everyone how's it going?       As I said last email, there was some bowling, some epic bowling. Got two lanes in a special part of the alley and I bowled a 164 and a 159. It was insane and so fun. Been playing lots of pickleball lately too which has been fun. Got to call the fam twice this week since it was Brody and Allison's b-day which was super great.        Got transfer news Thursday...nothing changed for me and my comp but one of our roommates got transferred. Have had a ton of great lessons with our friends with an señor couple here and they are so great. Also found a street here that is my name which was cool so obviously had to take a pic with it.         It has pretty much been raining 24/7 the past few days but it varies a lot between pouring rain and a thousand tiny droplets. Been grinding the Duolingo app and am now in the highest league posible in the app. The Diamond league but it honestly isn't he...

No Más Hielo Y Más BUÑUELOS

Day 5 of not being able to drive so we were stuck inside all day from Saturday to Wednesday. Took a few trips(walked)to the gas station down the street. Played risk one of the days and won. The days are blurred together and I was so restless everyday.      Freedom at last, we were finally able to drive on Thursday and we went to the store and the roads were pretty clear but the sidewalks and stuff were real slick still. May have had to catch/drag my comp up slicker parts and I almost died at least 20 times.      Had a really good lesson with the family that keeps giving us buñuelos and they also gave us eggs which was random and some banana bread from his work. It was great and they are awesome. Then hit a contact that made us eat some really good tacos and we taught a little bout the restoration stuff.     Didn't do much the next day but we at least were able to be out trying to knock doors instead of being stuck inside all day....

Snow. Yay.

Hola hola everyone I hate the cold but Portland said here you go anyway. Anyways     Played pickleball for the first time and it was pretty fun and also set a new record with my bowling score to 148. So that was fun. Had interview w/ da Mish pres and it went good. Took a trip to the other side of portland to pick up doc papers and then drop them off at the Mish office.       Got a supply drop from my mom this week too(package of tons of snackys and all sorts of goodies). Had a bunch of lessons cancell which sucked but found a very interested guy that we taught.      Also went on exchanges again actually since the DL went with my comp so i went to the English area of my ward again, but with a different elder. It went good, it was a pretty good day. Snowed a couple times this week and is absolutely freezing which sucks since I absolutely despise and hate the cold but I'm getting used to it.      Since it's snowy and icy lots of p...

Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC. Read t...

2 Weeks In Portland? Also Happy New Year

Image
Hola hola everybody  Time is so crazy it's been 2 weeks since I've gotten here to Portland as of last Friday. It definetly does not feel like 2 weeks while also feeling like months. Had zone conference Friday that  So christmas night we ate with this older couple and it went for 2 1/2 hours. Which sucked but it wasn't bad but it took up a lot of our pday time. Then after that we went bowling which was super fun.  On the 26th we had a district council that was super cool because we did role plays and later that night exactly what happened in the role play happened in a lesson with some of our friends and the same thing happened again last night which was crazy.  And we also gave a little kid a blessing in spanish. He couldn't breathe and was hooked up to a bunch or respirators and apparently his dad had a dream about missionaries and his son being one. They are inactive members so hopefully they will go back to church.  Went on exchanges on wednesday which was li...
