Another "Normal" Week In The "Normal" City Of Portland

¿Qué tal todo? 


     Helped some fam move last tuesday which sucked cuz they weren't ready and there was just a mess. He also backed his uhaul truck(the biggest one you can get) into a parked challenger but there was like 0 damage and he just kept trying to park it. Stayed for an hour and then had to leave but we got the heavy stuff in. Then played some gatorball which got quite competitive towards the end and I got smacked in the face with the ball. 

     
      Wednesday we had a zone council and during that did a zone blitz surprise exchange to go tracking for 45 minutes but the elder I was with didn't have a Sim and neither did I so we had no clue where we were supposed to go so we just drove randomly to knock some places. Not very successful or productive but pretty fun. 
        Then had some fire lessons later that day that weren't planned, cuz our planned ones canceled but were replaced. My comp is pretty lazy but it seems to just depend on what we do. He's also a huge music nerd and has tons of classical and orchestral type stuff.


       Something happened with my tiwi card(driving card) so now I'm not driving anymore and its so depressing. But our last 3 member meals have ended up just giving us money to get food which is nice but also lame.
     Had a stake presidency council thing with the zone for Saturday breakfast. It was pretty good and that same day didn't do any real missionary work til like almost 2. With Elder Bishop I've had the most unproductive days of my mission but we are working on it. Had 0 friends at church this week which is tough but I have felt a huge jump in my spanish. Which is great but our group is also just not ready for our friends. 


        There was a wedding is a Spanish group in the zone and my comp and another Spanish elder played the piano and i was a camera man. Got oymed by a member that's coming back and he talked forever and we couldn't figure out how to interrupt because we had to go. Also got oymed by a guy that told us this lady needed god and what not. But she didn't and it was a joke she was a lil anti almost but pretty nice.  
        Had DC today and it was fuego, worked on OYMing and testifying which is so importante and also Alma 36 is absolute fuego y sé que sin duda que no importa qué, ustedes pueden ser perdonados. 


        Basketball today was fuego and got a haircut también. Then had a chill day to relax and get ready for this next week. Something crazy happened by our apartment and a ton of streets were blocked by cop cars but idk what happened but there was a ton of cops. Anyways normal stuff at least for portland. But adiós espero que tenga una buena semana.

Hola Had a doc appt that we were a lil late to but it was still fine, then spent almost 2 hours in traffic and then had a mission wide zoom call that was good. Then the next day spent 4+ hours at a Firestone to get the tires on our car fixed, but did leave and get lunch at a Hawaiian restaurant that was really good. And some random peeps there paid for us which was cool. Also had dinner with the Constans which was fun later that day (Wednesday)         On Monday, April 1st, an elder thought it would be funny to shove flowers in my face to smell them at chick fil a, and then I kept sneezing all day and for the rest of the week. But each day something added on. First day after that my nose was runny, second my throat, then on Thursday I developed a fever at the end of the day. 4th Of Julio

Hola a todos.  This was a long week cuz of the 4th of July they moved our pday to today so we went 1.5 weeks inbetween pdays but it has finally arrived.  We were told about this guy who was stranded on the side of the road right at the edge of our area and hadn't eaten for 2 days. We didn't know what to really do, so eventually ended up talking with him and brought him some KFC and then went back each day while he waited for a part to fix his car and brought food so he wouldnt be hungry. It was pretty cool getting to know him and to be able to help too. Went to a cultural activity for the community in Canby where we live and got some free lunch (carne asada) and it was good and talked to lots of Hispanics too. Not too many of the Branch members were at church this week cuz they were sick and/or busy but yeah.  Nothing crazy has happened really, its been quite the same as always except for Tuesday was good, had some lessons and they went super good. Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

  More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC.
