Jhonaike Got Dunked

Buenos dias everyone, fue un semana muy ocupada. First off we went hiking and it was a blast and got to watch part of the Highway to Heaven in Spain Spanish for our noche de hogar which was pretty cool, had half of a clue what was going on. Then had a mission all call which was pretty cool. Had a zone council later in the week too that was pretty cool.


I have actually ended up slipping lunch Saturday and Sunday because we just were too busy and whatnot but then stuffed myself at dinner with our members. Did lots of service Saturday helping people move and I met a guy who served in El Paso a while ago, I think his last name is Fisher and he served in the Fabens ward before they met in the building, and I also met a recent rm with type 1 diabetes. Then had some lessons and whatnot, the usuals.


We had a bunch of friends come to church and then afterwards our friend Jhonaike got baptized by Elder Larsen my comp. It was pretty cool. He's going to get confirmed next week and he's going to give my comp a haircut today probably. He's a funny guy but nice. Also had DC and played soccer with a recent convert and I won a 2v1 in a parking lot then shared a scripture. Had English class yesterday too that was a good turnout and found a lot of new friends. 


Pretty much every morning I've been making chocolate waffles and a fruit smoothie but other than that I don't do much cooking, mainly just rice or some random stuff. This week was tiring but we made it and God is Great. We go tracking everyday with our roommates and its kinda tiring now, and a lil unsuccessful but we still do it. 


I'm also learning a really cool song on the piano and when I get home I'll be a pro for sure. I don't remember the name but it sounds super cool. Played basketball for like 5 + hours straight today then Gatorball for another hour then ate lunch at Popeyes. My comp hurt his ankle too so he's limping around now. But it's been a good day. Have a buena semana ya'll

Hola Had a doc appt that we were a lil late to but it was still fine, then spent almost 2 hours in traffic and then had a mission wide zoom call that was good. Then the next day spent 4+ hours at a Firestone to get the tires on our car fixed, but did leave and get lunch at a Hawaiian restaurant that was really good. And some random peeps there paid for us which was cool. Also had dinner with the Constans which was fun later that day (Wednesday)         On Monday, April 1st, an elder thought it would be funny to shove flowers in my face to smell them at chick fil a, and then I kept sneezing all day and for the rest of the week. But each day something added on. First day after that my nose was runny, second my throat, then on Thursday I developed a fever at the end of the day. 4th Of Julio

Hola a todos.  This was a long week cuz of the 4th of July they moved our pday to today so we went 1.5 weeks inbetween pdays but it has finally arrived.  We were told about this guy who was stranded on the side of the road right at the edge of our area and hadn't eaten for 2 days. We didn't know what to really do, so eventually ended up talking with him and brought him some KFC and then went back each day while he waited for a part to fix his car and brought food so he wouldnt be hungry. It was pretty cool getting to know him and to be able to help too. Went to a cultural activity for the community in Canby where we live and got some free lunch (carne asada) and it was good and talked to lots of Hispanics too. Not too many of the Branch members were at church this week cuz they were sick and/or busy but yeah.  Nothing crazy has happened really, its been quite the same as always except for Tuesday was good, had some lessons and they went super good. Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

  More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC.
