Bueno todos


We had our noche de fútbol este miércoles y not many people came but we still played and had a good time. One of our friends José is learning English really well and is super funny and he actually has me and my comp as his Facebook profile pic which is pretty cool.


Had an interesting Friday, with our Zone Training, interviews with President and then we had a member meal and cleaned the church and also had a meeting with our ward missionary peeps and then my comp moderated on the mission Facebook page.  So lots of meetings and lots of being at the church but it was a day of learning and edification.


Put our friend Michael on date and then got a bunch of packages delivered to me from President Botchway at a baptism which was super cool, my mom came in clutch.


 But this sunday was absolutely insane, it was pretty average til one of the Tongan members of a different ward brought a few Hispanics from work with him which was super cool. Then halfway through sacrament meeting our family of half recent converts and half unbaptized friends came and then a family or 4 from Venezuela we met recently came to church and brought another family of 4 from Venezuela too. So we had a total of 15 friends at church Sunday which was insane. 


Had exchanges yesterday after DC and I went into the Tongan/Chuukese area and it was kinda slower with lots of driving but we had some cool lessons and sung some songs in Chuukese and it was fun. I learned a lil bit of the ukelele too. 


Obviously played basketball per usual. And then had some lunch with a member

Im So Dead, But God Is Good

Hola Had a doc appt that we were a lil late to but it was still fine, then spent almost 2 hours in traffic and then had a mission wide zoom call that was good. Then the next day spent 4+ hours at a Firestone to get the tires on our car fixed, but did leave and get lunch at a Hawaiian restaurant that was really good. And some random peeps there paid for us which was cool. Also had dinner with the Constans which was fun later that day (Wednesday)         On Monday, April 1st, an elder thought it would be funny to shove flowers in my face to smell them at chick fil a, and then I kept sneezing all day and for the rest of the week. But each day something added on. First day after that my nose was runny, second my throat, then on Thursday I developed a fever at the end of the day. 4th Of Julio

Hola a todos.  This was a long week cuz of the 4th of July they moved our pday to today so we went 1.5 weeks inbetween pdays but it has finally arrived.  We were told about this guy who was stranded on the side of the road right at the edge of our area and hadn't eaten for 2 days. We didn't know what to really do, so eventually ended up talking with him and brought him some KFC and then went back each day while he waited for a part to fix his car and brought food so he wouldnt be hungry. It was pretty cool getting to know him and to be able to help too. Went to a cultural activity for the community in Canby where we live and got some free lunch (carne asada) and it was good and talked to lots of Hispanics too. Not too many of the Branch members were at church this week cuz they were sick and/or busy but yeah.  Nothing crazy has happened really, its been quite the same as always except for Tuesday was good, had some lessons and they went super good. Time Is So Weird But Probably Like The 3rd Week Here In Portland

  More buñuelos from our amazing friends we taught and they are just so great and I'm hoping we can get them to church and then into the water next. Also went bowling which is kinda a weekly pday tradition now and I was doing really good. Sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish the second game, but it was so fun.      The Alameda ward here is really weird. They are all old. No youth except for one deacon and the Spanish group of the ward is like 8-10 people which sucks. But it is what it is and there's a lot of work to do.    Cleaned the church saturday and there was literally 5 of us total pero esa limpieza era bueno porque después comemos Rosca de Reyes which was so good with some fire Hot chocolate.     I'm getting pretty decent at basketball since we play literally everyday except Sundays for our workouts among other things.      I just finished the BofM yesterday which I started at the beginning of at home MTC.
